Update: My latest version of this supercharged energy coffee has evolved into a plant-based super fuel bulletproof banting coffee that is totally vegan and perfect for banting/keto and/or intermittent fasting. Read on for all the options.
Kickstart your day and your metabolism with this delicious Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee. This super-charged high fat energy coffee drink will give you the healthy boost that you need to begin your day and stay satisfied and alert all day long.
Do NOT Fear Fat!
Your body needs fat in order to burn fat. Think of it like fuel: feed your engine fuel, and your engine will burn fuel; feed your body fat, and your body will burn fat. If you are ingesting carbs, your body will burn only carbs and you will store fat. This is simple science.
Fat is NOT the Enemy!
Fat is in fact an excellent fuel, packed with long-lasting, feel-good energy. Of course, there are good fats and bad fats, and one needs to remember to always choose healthy fats like olive oil, avos and almond nuts.

When can you drink your Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee?
Best served in the morning following a mug of warm water (add a drop or two of lemon for taste if absolutely necessary), but you can really enjoy your Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee at anytime of the day or even a decaf version at night.
Tip: Updated version is perfect as a breakfast/”meal replacement” when intermittent fasting since it contains zero carbs or protein.
My Perfect Morning Coffee
After drinking a large glass of warm water and lemon and practicing my morning meditation and yoga, I go straight to the kitchen to prepare my latest version of this super fuel bulletproof banting coffee. I either brew Illy ground coffee or use my Senseo coffee machine and I make a double portion of coffee and then add 15ml of MCT oil and a portion of Soaring Free Superfoods Raw Organic Cacao Butter. Then I blitz with a stick blender and voila!
This version is 100% vegan and provides enough energy to get me through yoga and sometimes even a pilates class, before I break my fast any time after 12pm.
Here’s my updated vegan version of Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee
- Filter coffee
- MCT oil
- Cacao butter
Tip: I buy a big box of cacao butter from Faithful to Nature and prepare my cacao butter portions in advance. Simply melt the cacao butter using a double boiler or chocolate melting pot and then pour into a silicone ice cube tray. Let it cool in the fridge for a while and then pop them out and store them in any container (in or out of the fridge). I have a little chocolate melting pot like this that I love (mine is light blue):

Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee Ingredients
Makes one serving
- 1 – 2 Servings of quality brewed coffee
- 1 – 2 Tbsp unsalted butter or cocoa butter for a vegan option
- 15ml MCT oil (or coconut oil) – I use Super Fuel MCT oil from MojoMe
Note: If you are not used to a high fat diet, this shake could be quite rich.
Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee Method
- Simply brew the coffee and pour one portion into a mixing jug or similar
- Add the MCT oil and butter option (see additional options below)
- Blitz with a hand-held blender
- Pour into a mug and enjoy

Variations and suggestions
- Add a serving of whey or plant-based protein powder of your choice (if you are Intermittent Fasting, this will break your fast)
- You can add some coconut cream or coconut/almond milk if you find the Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee too rich (or fatty), or even some full fat milk or regular unsweetened cream.
- Butter makes for a smooth, creamy and buttery textured Super Fuel Bulletproof Banting Coffee – make sure that you use unsalted butter!
- Use a hand-held blender or mixer for best results.
